FOW FUNDRAISERS

Every school needs more funds to enhance the educational experiences of students. Most schools turn to their parent group for financial help. The Winthrop School is no exception. Some of the things the FOW raises funds for include: 

 

-Cultural Enrichment Programming

-Grants for Teachers

-Field Trip Funding

-Staff Appreciation Week, 5th Grade Week, Welcome Coffee, Ice Cream Social, etc.

No-Fund Fundraisers

 

These fundraisers are ways that families can contribute to the FOW without providing any funds themselves. The FOW can earn funds from the items that you are already buying.

 

 

 

 

AmazonSmile

 

Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases directly to the FOW to use in support of valuable school initiatives.

 

In order to participate, Winthrop Families simply...

• Go to smile.amazon.com and select Friends of Winthrop Elementary School Inc as your charity.
• *NEW* Update your Amazon app to allow a portion of you app purchases to be donated to FOW.
  • Select Settings and find AmazonSmile.
  • Turn the donations to 'ON' and make sure your charity is set to Friends of Winthrop Elementary School Inc.
  • Renewals are required every 6 months.
• Encourage your friends and family to select a charity of their choice through the AmazonSmile program so that their purchases can help a charity. We would love it if they would help the FOW!
• Shop at the app as you usually would.
• Or shop at smile.amazon.com instead of the usual amazon website. Amazon encourages you to bookmark the link on your Bookmarks Bar to make it easier to remember to use.

Box Tops for Education

 

Box Tops has changed to fit today's families. The new and improved Box Tops mobile app uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products, and instantly add Box Tops to your school's earnings online.

Register Tapes for Education, aka Crosby's/Henry’s Receipts

 

Through this program, Crosby's and Henry’s provides free educational equipment and supplies to our school.

 

In order to participate, simply

1) Shop at Crosby or Henry’s and save your receipts

2) Turn in the receipts to your child’s classroom teacher

The Holiday Boutique is the largest annual fundraiser for our school, and the money raised by this event is invested back into the Winthrop community to provide enhanced educational opportunities for our children.
